ANSWERS

  1. I will need 1200, 1500, 1800 calorie level meal plans, ideas - about a 6 week rotation. Along with 50 recipes, too.
We do have a menu planner that allows subscribers of CFFH newsletter to put our recipes into a virtual shopping cart and then see/print a nutritional analysis for the whole day so you can adjust accordingly to get them to the calories you need. And we have over 800 recipes to choose from. So I definitely think we can help you with your project. One thing we do not have is plain foods like apples, waffles, bagels and things like that - but they would probably be easy for you to add to the calculation. I just wanted to clarify that.

  2. The economy has been affecting all of us, both personally & professionally. So--is there a possibility of receiving the newsletter via email only at a reasonably lesser cost than the normal hard copy subscription rate??
We do have a barter system in place where you can write a handout (maybe you have a favorite you have created?) to share with our readers or a story of a presentation idea you are currently using - and you will receive 2 free posters plus one year of Communicating Food for Health.

To take us up on this offer contact us through our online email form: www.foodandhealth.com/contact.php

Did you see the April 2009 issue? One of our dietitians published a nice story about how she creates a grocery shopping experience for 2nd graders to teach them about nutrition, healthy snacking, making a list and shopping on a budget!!

  11. How do I put the photos from Communicating Food for Health member area on my website?
You need to download the photos from here: www.foodandhealth.com/subscriber/gallery/gallery.html

and then upload them to your site to use them - you cannot link to the ones in our gallery because they are password protected. But as a paid subscriber to Communicating Food for Health you are allowed to use them.

Use your email address and password to access the photo file.

Right click on the image and download it to your hard drive.

Then, you have to upload the image to your website. It is best if you put them in an "image" folder - and then when you are putting them in a webpage, it is best if you put the full URL to the image.

Also, you might want to consider building your site or a portion of it with WordPress - it is very easy to design and add new things with that program. And you can upload from your computer right into your blog and WordPress handles all of the code work just right.
